How To Help

We're a small team at Gentle Acres, and we can only take on new residents and projects as our resources allow. If you'd like to get involved and help us grow, here are a few ways to help:

• Sponsor a resident
  • You can help with the cost of individual residents' care by finding their sponsorship links on the Residents page. Any amount is appreciated, whether it's a one-time donation or monthly. 
• Order from our wishlist
  • We have everything from necessary first aid supplies and supplements, to toys and treats for enrichment.
• Volunteer
  • We are always looking for help with mucking, feeding, grooming, training, enclosure maintenance, and improvement projects. 
• Spread the Word
  • Many of our residents have lifespans of 20-30 years (and we're not even talking about the 100+ years for the torts!) and our mission is to give them a safe and loving home here for decades to come. We are not a rescue - we do not rehome or adopt out residents and take our commitment to caring for them for the rest of their lives very seriously. Bringing our community together to help make this happen is an absolute gift, and sharing our mission with your friends, family, and network could enable partnerships that allow us to help bring more residents to Gentle Acres.
